InterSystems Releases ‘GMID’
and ‘BMID’ in Singapore

Changi, Singapore (January 2008) - Another installation of InterSystems' distinguished FIDS software, this time in Singapore, has also brought the official release of InterSystems' exclusive and highly acclaimed Gate Message Input Device (GMID), and Baggage Message Input Device (BMID) software.

Due to the high visibility and great impact of the project underway in the Singapore Changi International Airport, it seemed appropriate that InterSystems choose this opportunity to unveil these unique and already widely popular devices.

An incredibly innovative operative tool for handler operations, the GMID allows airline staff to control and configure gate information directly from the gate podium. The configured output is displayed on the screens surrounding the gate.
The BMID allows baggage handlers to control the assignment and status of the first and lastbag messages for automatic display in the baggage collection areas. This exciting technology eliminates the need to contact the central control room and generates fast, accurate results.
