Cork , Ireland (Dec 2006) - InterSystems has completed the installation of the latest version of RapidFIDS on Linux for the new terminal at Cork International Airport . With increased passenger traffic and an increasing passenger demand, Cork International Airport needed a robust and reliable yet efficient display system that could direct the passenger in the right direction without confusion or frustration.
InterSystems' screens were selected for their visual appeal along with InterSystems' leading RapidFIDS system functionality. The installation was centered around RapidFIDS- the InterSystems FIDS module of its AODB, RapidAIMS. Along with RapidFIDS, InterSystems provided and installed new FIDS infrastructure for the airport: 107 Vision V monitors, display controllers, network switches, servers, workstations, installation, and integration services . All of the work was planned and installed in six(6) months.
