InterSystems will launch its new Flight Manager graphical user interface (GUI) software for use with the RapidAIMS airport operational database (AODB).
Developed in conjunction with customers throughout the USA and Australia, Flight Manager simplifies the task of updating real-time and seasonal flight information, along with the associated ticket counter, gate and baggage carousel allocations.
Previously, for example, if a departure flight was delayed and the airline wanted to extend the flight's check-in times, the airline or airport operators had to update the flight record, then separately locate and update each of the ticket counter records. Now with Flight Manager, the operator can delay the flight and extend all of the associated ticket counters in one update.
Flight Manager also incorporates many new features, including:
It runs on both Microsoft Windows XP and Windows 2000 workstations.
Currently undergoing final testing by selected customers, the Flight Manager will be launched on November 1, 2005. For more information, please contact your local InterSystems sales office.
