Vancouver International Airport Authority is the launch customer for RapidAIMS

April 30, 2002, Richmond, BC, Canada. InterSystems USA Inc. today announced that Vancouver International Airport Authority is the launch customer for InterSystems new Airport Information Management Solution, RapidAIMS.

RapidAIMS is a sophisticated airport operational database and integration solution capable of incorporating every aspect of terminal management within a secure, maintainable and easy-to-use customized framework. RapidAIMS is based on SUN Solaris platform utilizing Oracle database and utilities, this open architecture will grow and expand as the terminal grows, transforms and reaches its full potential.
Vancouver International Airport Authority has been a customer of InterSystems since 1996 when they installed InterSystems Flight Information Display System, RapidFIDS. An updated version of RapidFIDS will be installed in conjunction with RapidAIMS.
The Airport Authority is well known in the industry as an early adopter of advanced IT solutions to improve productivity and services to passengers.
The systems will be installed in several phases beginning in April 2002 and completed by the end of the year.
