Amsterdam, Holland, May 21, 2000, InterSystems BV, the regional office responsible for EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), won the FIDS contract for Dublin Airport, one of the fastest growing airports in the world. Investment bankers Warburg Dillon Read have released figures indicating that Dublin airport is among the fastest growing airports in the world. Dublin reported a rise of 13.7%, apparently the fastest growth for a major airport worldwide. During 1999 12.8 million passengers traveled though Dublin Airport, a 10% increase on the previous year. All indications are for another record year in 2000, with passenger numbers of around 14 million. Dublin airport is owned by Aer Rianta who also manages Shannon Airport, Cork Airport, Dusseldorf Airport, Bristol Airport and Sofia Airport.

The project includes the installation of FIDS in new Bay extensions in addition to replacing the current FIDS in existing locations. In addition, InterSystems will be installing 2 Servers, 7 Workstations, Baggage Keypads, Interfaces to Cute, network infrastructure and components. and over 323 Vision monitors also supplied by InterSystems.
