Dublin, Ireland (July 2009) - InterSystems was recently awarded the contract to extend their FIDS (Flight Information Display System) at Dublin International Airport (DUB). DAA is currently undertaking a major upgrade and expansion to add a new Terminal to its facilities for their ever-growing passenger load. The current terminal, Terminal 1, is busting at the seams and has been long awaiting this expansion.

The new Terminal 2 will be a 75,000 sq meter building designed specifically with traveller needs in mind. With Terminal 2, Dublin airport will be able increase capacity by 15 Million PAX per year. Terminal 2 is expected to open during 2010.
As the existing FIDS vendor for Terminal 1, InterSystems will be expanding and installing its latest state of the art RapidFIDS software package as well as the latest in hardware; ranging from InterSystems solid-state Graphic Monitor Controller GMC7 to the newest LCD technology.
InterSystems is pleased to be working closely with DAA once again and the T2 project team. Nimrod Halfon, President of InterSystems says, “We are delighted to be part of this effort to build the most efficient, comfortable and easy to use airport terminal. We believe that our products will have a major role in providing an optimal passenger experience in the new Terminal 2”.
